Welcome to The ConnectorIt is my answer to my community after several moments of curiosity about what I am looking at, exploring, and experimenting at the time. As your favorite walking encyclopedia and tastemaker, I am making sure you stay on the pulse of the latest—if you know, you know. Feel free to say I’m a friend of a friend sharing these things with you.

Hi Reader, As we are back to the regularly scheduled program, it is NYFW in New York. There has been plenty of activities and events popping up all over the city while snow makes its way through New York. Of course, I can focus plenty of my attention on these events. To be frank, I am tired as these events are a lot on the mind and the body. I pulled back this winter season to focus on my health and rebuilding connections. If you didn’t know, I moved to Harlem in December. I haven’t explored Harlem in its fullness yet. It’s one of my adventures to partake in the next few months. Let’s get into local places you can enjoy for the long term than NYFW. My last two weeks looked like this: WTHN - Upper West SideI am a fan of WTHN as my acupuncture place to invest in. I have been going to the Flatiron location for three years. I decided to try their new location as my healer moved on from the practice. The Upper West Side is much calmer than the Flatiron location. I got a chance to experience a private room there with a healer. Acupuncture has been one of the best investments I have made in my health in the last 4 years. After healing with acupuncture, I focus on prevention with my healer on issues like cramps, back pain and neck pain. American Museum of Natural HistoryI went with a friend to see the new Apex Stegosaurus Fossil. It was discovered in 2022 near Dinosaur, Colorado. It is a cool moment to see while you are in New York. Personally, I enjoy this museum as it has so many wonders that you can discover. I recommend coming down and investing a couple of days at the museums here in New York. Some new exhibitions are popping up around New York. The Met has some interesting exhibitions too happening along with the Whitney. Things I'm EnjoyingI have been trying Sakara meals recently. They sent me a box of goodies as a gift. This year, they are one of the donors for the NYJL Winter Ball which I am a board member of. It’s a women-founded, plant-based company for clean eating. I loved the fresh delivery of meals weekly with some of the options. I found that I needed more food to fill me throughout the day after testing this out. I find this service would be perfect for those who want clean eating, pre-made meals, and those who love salads. As I am a former vegan-to-meat eater (again), it does get inventive with the breakfast and dinner options. Speaking of food, I am on a ramen kick. Warm foods make me so happy. I’m slowly making my way through different ramen places in town. Do you have a favorite ramen place (wherever you are) or at-home recipe? Please send it over! Last but not least, I headed back to Line of Sight to get my eye glasses fixed. I broke them through my move. The staff there is a blessing. I spoke more about my various experiences with them and their founder, Dr. Tsai, in my latest article. I decided last year to invest in more than the external side of my health. I got to the root of my eye care with Dr. Tsai.
